Aesthetic Treatments
I am sitting here writing my first-ever blog – look at me all modern and technical! Then I had to decide what to write about. What would people want to know about? Me? So here is a snippet of me.
So why did I start in aesthetic treatments? I get asked this a lot. I wanted to work for myself and get a good work-life balance, but after working for the NHS for over 10 years I needed a change. When I was younger (life before kids) I was very into make-up and fashion and thanks to my mum, skincare too. We both agree it’s been one of our biggest investments, there’s nothing quite like the feeling of having healthy glowing skin. Being a Midwife I get to meet amazing women on a daily basis, I’m blown away by their courage and determination and I learn from every one of them, I guess they are my inspiration, so working with women and helping them was important to me. Finally, I have also learnt and perfected many clinical skills so I wanted to use these skills, so aesthetics was a good fit for me.
Now, a few years ago I didn’t understand why anyone would want to have an aesthetic treatment. And I swore I wouldn’t do that to myself and I would grow old gracefully! Then the signs of ageing started and I started to feel differently. The fine lines started especially those ‘number 11’s.’ between my eyebrows. I looked angry and sad all at the same time but that was not how I felt inside.
I’m here now shouting out how good aesthetic treatments are. Magic in a tiny bottle. After my first aesthetic treatment, I was so amazed at how effective it was, my skin appeared brighter and healthier and I looked happier and way less angry! I love it and it gave my confidence a gentle little nudge in the right direction. Win-win! All these things are also scientifically proven and not just my experience
I started out in aesthetics in 2019 just before that Global pandemic started! It was quite inconvenient for my business. So after a couple of years of stop-start, I’m now in full swing. My business is growing despite all the challenges ( I could write a whole other blog about the complexity of starting a business – I was very naive)! I offer aesthetic treatments which include botox (wrinkle relaxing treatments) dermal fillers and skin boosting. My aim is to help women (and men if they want) who have lost confidence due to signs of ageing and who are fed up with people saying they look angry or knackered. My passion is offering safe aesthetic treatments and explaining everything clearly to my clients, so even if they have never had an aesthetic treatment before they will feel comfortable and relaxed. I offer result-driven treatments to give natural results that help you glow a little more.
One of my greatest pleasures in life is building others up. I know that having healthy skin can just do that. Aesthetic treatments offer something extra, that rejuvenation we need after years of being a mum or extra hours working on our career. The best compliment I received from one of my gorgeous clients was for the first time in years she felt she could throw her head back and smile! I use the word tweakment for what I do! My clients will never look overdone or overfilled. You’ll still be just a happier, healthier, slightly younger-looking version. Don’t worry about growing old gracefully or other people’s opinions about aesthetic treatments – just let your beauty be how you define it. Love Sarah xx
